The iconic Cafe Mambo sits in the centre of what has become known as the sunset strip in San Antonio. Established in 1994 by Javier Anadon and against all advice, the original small ibicencan and derelict house has become a prevailing force in the dance music industry. With international Djs of the calibre of Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold and Frankie Knuckles playing regular sets..(For free!!) not to mention appearances by Groove Armada, Faithless, BodyRockers, Danni Minogue (to name a few) Café Mambo has firmly established itself as a visionary frontrunner in a highly competitive field. Beloved by locals and celebrated by tourists, in a few years Café Mambo has become a magnet for bona fide musical talent.

With the significance of another night just beginning in Ibiza not lost on the thousands of spectators every summer, the sunset is a legendary start to the night ahead. In 2007 Café Mambo was honoured for the second time with the prestigious Dj Award for the best Bar in Ibiza. This was international recognition for the marked contribution Café Mambo has made to the island, changing the way people perceive San Antonio within the music industry and generally making a tangible difference to the way bars and restaurants think in Ibiza. The Customer has become a priority and levels of service have risen thanks to the flawlessness of places like Café Mambo, Savannah and Villa Mercedes. Originally a derelict house which just happened to be facing one of the most Famous sunsets in the world, the shrewdness of the Mambo team have ensured that its original personality has not been lost. The bar is decorated with tradional Ibicencan features such as mosaics and marble and the terrace (new in 2007) has been designed to compliment the surrounding area. Coupled with state of the art sound technology, free wifi, a contemporary menu and of course THAT view. Mambo is a flourishing example of a fusion of old and new with an injection of pioneer spirit essential to creating a thriving business. Being on the sharp end of forward thinking in Ibiza has led to Café Mambo hosting many of the island´s exclusive and renowned parties. Most famously Radio 1 has used Mambo as the central base for its infamous weekender featuring live broadcasts on Radio 1 including Pete Tong´s essential selection and events hosted by Vernon Kay and Tess Daley. Galaxy FM Radio has also long collaborated with Café Mambo with live broadcasts and performances including Roger Sanchez, Axwell, Wally Lopez, Satoshi Tomei and Lisa Lashes to name a few.
